180 Insurgents Were Killed!  

Kabul-Afghanistan: in the past 24 hours, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, launched 10 joint offensive & clearance operations, and conducted 92 Commandos, Special Forces operations in different parts of the country, in order to remove security threats, destroying the enemy’s sanctuaries and ensure better security to the people of Afghanistan, Afghan Air Forces conducted 110 flights and carried out 37 airstrikes on enemies’ positions in support of these operations. As a result, 180 Insurgents including 4 terrorists belongs to Al Qaeda Group and 2 Taliban local commanders were killed, 126 were wounded and 5 suspects were detained.

These operations were conducted with the support of Resolute Support and Afghan Air Forces in, Baghlan, Faryab, Zabul, Helmand, Ghazni, Farah, Herat, Paktika, Ghor, Kunduz, Kabul, Kandahar, Balkh and Sir-e Pol provinces.

Baghlan- 50 insurgents including Asadullah, a Taliban Red unit commander were killed, 30 were wounded, amount of weapons and ammunition were seized in airstrikes & clearing operation in Dand-e Ghori Area.

Faryab- 35 insurgents including Mulawi Esmattullah Taliban local commander  were killed, 46 were wounded, 5 suspects detained , 2 Vehicles , 1 hideout and amount of weapons & ammunition were destroyed in clearing operation & airstrikes in Grezwan and Pashtun Kot Districts.

Zabul- 32 insurgents were killed and 17 were wounded in response attacks in Daychopan, Arghandab, Shamlezai and Naw Bahar districts.

Helmand- 17 insurgents were killed and 7 were wounded in airstrikes in Greshk and Sangin districts.

Ghazni- 14 insurgents were killed in an airstrike in Dehyak district.

Farah- 8 insurgents were killed and 8 were wounded in artillery attacks in vicinities of capital.

Herat- 6 insurgents were killed and 7 were wounded in clearing operation in Keshk Kohna district.

Paktika- 11 insurgents belongs to Al Qaeda Group were killed, 11 suicide vests, 3 volumes of telephone booklet were confiscated and 1 hideout was destroyed in Joint clearing operations inn Gomal district.

Ghor- 4 insurgents were killed and 3 were wounded in response attacks in Dolaryar districts.

Kunduz- 4 insurgents were killed and 6 were wounded in airstrikes in Qalay Zal district.

Kabul- 1 insurgent was killed and 2 were wounded in joint clearing operations in Sorobi district.
