In response to the claims made by Pakistani officials, It is deeply regrettable that in the wake of today’s tragic incident at a mosque in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, despite the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan having immediately condemned the attack, the Pakistani Minister of Defense, consistent with a familiar and irresponsible pattern, hastily attempted to attribute the incident to Afghanistan without presenting any credible evidence.
Pakistani officials have, on numerous occasions in the past, including in relation to incidents in Balochistan and other events, pointed the finger at Afghanistan without conducting proper investigations or exercising due diligence. Once again, we emphasize that such statements and the attribution of blame to Afghanistan lack any logical or factual basis. Such hasty remarks neither conceal security failures nor contribute to resolving the underlying problems.
If the perpetrators could truly be identified immediately after the incident, why were they not detected, neutralized, and prevented before the attack took place?
The Government of Afghanistan remains committed to Islamic values and categorically rejects the killing or harming of innocent people for political purposes, nor does it support the perpetrators of such unlawful acts.
Pakistani security officials, rather than evading responsibility for security failures and misleading public opinion, should fulfill their obligations responsibly, review their policies, and adopt a constructive approach based on positive engagement and cooperation, rather than alienating their own population and neighboring countries.
