Chief of Staff of Armed-Forces Met with Leaders of Paktia Province

Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lt.Gen. Besmellah Waziri met with Ulamas, dignities, elders and ethnic leaders of Zadran, Waziri, Pirkoti and Kharouti ethnic groups of Paktia province.

Chief of Staff, discussed the security issue of the province and peace making with the leaders and elders of the province and asked them to support ANDSF on the regard. In the meeting a few on behalf of the others talked and declared their support from ANDSF and shared their problems with Chief of Staff and added that the security situation of the province was improving each day and requested from the government to be more precise on nightly operations because sometimes they cause civilian casualties.

Chief of Staff of armed forces assured dignities and ethnic leaders of Paktia province of putting their requests and problems on priorities of his activities and share their problems with the relevant authorities and necessary actions will be taken for solving those problems. Mr. Waziri also quoted that he would provide necessary guidance on nightly operations in order to prevent civilian casualties.

At the end the dignities and ethnic leaders of Paktia province reiterated their support from National Unity Government and Afghan Defense and Security Forces once again.
