Asadullah Khalid, acting Ministry of National Defense visits Achin district!

Today, Asadullah Khalid, acting Ministry of National Defense along with the Massoud Andarabi, acting Ministry of Interior Affair and Gen. Austin Scott Miller, Commander of the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan visited Achin district of Nangarhar province to praise the Afghan Forces and assess the security situation.

Meanwhile, Mr. Khalid appreciated the activities and achievements of the National Defense and Security Forces in the fight against terrorists in the east of the country, especially the defeat of ISIS (Daesh) in the Achin district.

The National Defense and Security Forces in their recent operations in Achin district of Nangarhar, inflicted heavy casualties to ISIS Daesh terrorists due to unprecedented military pressure from Afghan forces, nearly 1000 ISIS fighters have been surrendered to Afghan National Army.
